Greetings to the members and alumni of the College of Pharmacy, Chungbuk National University.
My name is Seok-gil Song, the 23rd Dean of the College of Pharmacy.

Since its establishment in 1956, College of Pharmacy at Chungbuk National University has contributed to the development of science and technology in the local community and throughout the nation by nurturing pharmaceutical professionals needed by society and cultivating professional skills with basic and applied knowledge for new drug development and pharmaceutical care.

Thanks to the dedication and efforts of the past dean and all members, our school has continued to grow tremandously, nurturing extraordinary students (more than 2,500 bachelors and more than 1,000 master's and doctorates in pharmacy have graduated). Now, we are moving towards a 70-year history at a new Osong Campus, the high-tech medical cluster.

The school has grown to over 24 faculties and 220 undergraduates and 250 graduate students are enrolled in 2021. We have secured global competitiveness in education and research and has developed strong relationships throughout the industries and healthcare communities resulting in outstanding performance both in research and education. Currently, we are involved in Brain Korea 21 four, Medical Research Center(MRC), and Osong Industry-Academy Convergence program to promote graduate students a competitive research ability.

We are now facing a very important turning point requiring ways to deal with the 4th industrial revolution, rapid changes in the industrial ecosystem, reorganization of the six-year curriculum, and the ongoing issues with the COVID-19 pandemic.

I am eager to contribute to the development of the College of Pharmacy at Chungbuk National University, together with the faculty and staff over the next two years.
